Bayview Community Update – February 17, 2018

Week of February 21

So much for an early spring, winter has descended on us with a vengeance. So out with the snow shovels, back with the puffy jackets, hats, and gloves, we are definitely in for a wintery spell. At least the days are getting longer.

A big thank you to Dean Knowles for lowering our flag in memory of the fallen in our latest school shooting. Dean is always “Jonny on the spot” in terms of taking care of our flag and its settings. Also thanks to Dennis Link for stepping in and taking over the shoveling around the Center while Dean is recuperating from his surgery. Our little community always seems to have volunteers to help when and where needed. Finally, a huge shout out to Phyllis, Sue Damon’s mom in her recovery from a nasty fall leaving her with a shattered wrist. Hang in there, girl.

A huge thanks to the Timberlake Fire Dept for providing training in CPR and the use of the defibrillator which is installed in the main hall of the Center. This is a critical tool and skill.
