Could Mother Nature be any more contrary? I think not. So do not put those winter coats and boots away just yet.

The Center welcomes its newest ongoing event. Thanks to the creativity of Mary Owen, we now have a monthly dinner event. On the last Friday of each month, we will be featuring a themed dinner. The Center was decked out for February’s Taco night and serving chicken and beef tacos along with refried beans and Spanish rice, and of course, all the toppings one could want. Our cooks, Mary, Marsha and Jackie served up a sumptuous dinner followed by desserts of chocolate flan cake by Dave Londeree, pineapple cake by Marilyn Stanton and Churros. It was a great night and fun was had by all. Our next event will be Spaghetti and Meatballs dinner by Mary Owen, on Friday, March 25th at 6pm. Once again, this is by reservation only. To reserve your spot contact Mary [email protected] or 509-290-3340. Cut off date for reservations is Monday the 21st.

April is renewal and sign-up month for Life Flight insurance. Life Flight is an air ambulance service which is not covered by most health insurance plans. Last year the cost was $55/household which included all dependent children or dependent elderly parents living in the household. I have not received the current rates or application sheets but will be posting them in next month’s Bylines. Cut off date for renewal or new application will be April 18th.
