The Gardens need YOU! The Bayview Memorial Gardens at the Center have always been the jewel of the community. Unfortunately, Laurie Mauser has not been able to get help to weed and “fluff” the many beds. She meets each Wednesday during the growing from 9:30 for about 2 hours. At present she has been unable to keep up with the growth of unwanted weeds especially with only one or two people (usually Judy Robinson only).
The Garden like the Center is a volunteer effort, so please mark a couple ours of your week to come down and help. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE AN EXPERT, just someone who appreciates the beauty of the out of doors. Bring your gloves and any favorite tool, if you have one.
Remember these gardens help boost Center rentals and rentals help with keeping the Center’s fiscal health solid.
